DIY-Natural Skin Care Routine

Hello guys!

After a long talk with a friend on the essence of using natural ingredients for our day to day skin care, I came to a conclusion on why our daily skin beauty products should be replaced with natural skin care ingredients. Did you know that when you use natural products, you are not only beautifying your skin but you are also absorbing antioxidants, therefore enhancing your skin’s UV resistance and stimulating your immune system too. Wow!

Although most people may not realize it, some skin care products can be so tricky these days, contains harmful ingredients, toxins and chemicals which cause a negative health effect.

But not to worry, there is good news. There are  natural ways to enhance your skin without needing to buy expensive and commercial products.
There are however, some good ingredients for a natural DIY skin care routine, I’ll be sharing a few.
ALOE-VERA: This is a succulent plant that stores water in it’s leaves, which are thick an fleshy. This can be found in most homes as it grown like flowers. This is a treatment to be it sunburn or a bad case of acne and helps lighten blemishes. Aloe-vera also reduces stretch marks and moisturizes the skin and used also to remove eye makeup, treat minor vaginal irritation, promotes hair growth, reduces dandruff. Thus, the use of aloe-vera cannot be over emphasized as it works virtually for every skin issue.
COCONUT OIL: Apart from moisturizing and hair scalp treatment, coconut oil is a natural product that we can honestly say cures all and is pretty dandy to have around. You can find over one hundred everyday uses of coconut oil. It moisturizes the skin; coconut oil delivers a refreshing, healing moisture that penetrates your skin and heat it, They eradicate fungal infection, it is used as a makeup remover, breath freshner, body lotion, lip balm, makeup brush cleaner, under eye cream, body scrub and ofcourse you can use coconut oil to make your own natural deodorant that works. Mix coconut oil with arrow root powder, corn starch, baking powder and a scented oil for a DIY odor fix.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: No doubt, apple cider vinegar can help you step up your beauty routine, this multi-tasking ingredient can be used to prevent pimples and acne, make nail polish last longer. This contains highly beneficial acetic acid and vitamin like potassium and magnesium that boosts liver function and help balance bacteria. On the other hand, apple cider vinegar also tones your skin, if you have an oily skin then this is for you. It kills dandruff thereby making hair shiny and healthy.
AVOCADO: These are rich in healthy fatty acids, many people who eat avocado have found out the wonders it does to their complexion, thus, it contains vitamins and antioxidants that can improve your skin from the inside. Avocado are wonderful for treating saggy skin, it is used as a skin moisturizer.

SHEA-BUTTER: Shea-butter has for many years been used as a natural skin care product in Africa. It is used for moisturizing the skin especially on the dry skin type. Since it is versatile in nature, it can be used for massage, as the best under-eye wrinkle remover and bag reducer, it is also used on scalp to kill dandruff, sore/ raw noses during cold, as lip balm . Shea-butter can also be used before applying makeup for longer stay and also used in place of a shaving cream.
RAW HONEY: Apart from been the healthiest sweetner, honey has tons of skin and hair enhancing benefits. Honey can be used to fight aging, this is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that moisturize the skin and fight bacteria. It is also used for removing delicate eye makeup, use also to exfoliating your skin atleast once or twice a week. Wash your face from time to time with honey and be sure to be using a raw honey which hasn’t been heat-treated or pasteurized because it contains more active antioxidants for enhancement benefit. For facial cleanser, take half a teaspoon, warm between hand and spread on face gently, leave for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water. For hair conditioner, mix 1 tablespoon raw honey with 2 tablespoon coconut oil, apply thoroughly to the bottom of damp hair, let it sit for 20 minutes and rinse well.


LEMON: Each portion of a lemon fruit, from it’s juice to pulp and peel can be utilized for beauty products whether as a toner, face pack or even a bleaching agent. It is one of the most versatile essential oil as it is used to heal acne and remove black heads, they lighten dark spots and blemishes, whiten teeth, they get rid of oily skin, laundry freshner, face wash and household cleaner. It is also used for anti-aging and remedy dandruff.

On the other hand, you’ve probably noticed how a healthy diet, good sleep, regular exercise and drinking plenty of water can improve someone’s look. With consistent use on the above mentioned natural skin care ingredients and ditching the harsh , man-made products, you definitely will notice or rather have improvements on your skin and will solve all your skin and hair issues.
